I started working on two new SEO and PPC campaigns for the Production Team, did some finance for Banc’s Finance Department and researched potential markets for our clients on behalf of Client Services! However, I must admit that the most exciting part was using WordPress to update our Blog and in particular the strangely-titled editing toolbar “kitchen sink” (yes, it’s still amusing me even now).
It’s been a really good week at Banc Media. It was great having the whole team on board, with Martin and Emma coming back from holidays (don’t get me wrong; it’s not as if I didn’t enjoy the other’s company).

We’ve seen on the news recently that Britons spend almost half of their waking life consuming media and communications, with the Internet driving half of it.
Apparently, almost half of us make an online purchase at least once a week and we all use the Internet as the main channel for socializing, purchasing and looking for information (research).
Therefore, it is essential for companies to ensure that their website presence is up to scratch in order to take advantage of this. And the most effective way to drive new customers to your website is via an SEO campaign.
Why use SEO? SEO is an investment that supports long term, economical growth for your business as it will generate higher volumes of targeted, relevant search traffic to your website and strengthen your brand association.

It’s Friday already, so it must be time for a new update on my work at Banc Media. This week has been amazing! So many technical terms finally made sense and no longer sounded foreign to me. I just loved it and I’m really looking forward to the next week.
This week has definitely been the PPC week. And I cannot start talking about it without saying a massive THANK YOU to Emma, for patiently and comprehensively answering all my questions and for offering me guidance this week. I started applying the concepts learnt on the Google AdWords by introducing URLs for specific keywords, always making sure they were relevant and working properly. Afterwards, I had to create ad texts for a new Banc Media client. Because our relationship with our clients is very important, I had to do plenty of research on the client’s campaign and company as a whole in order to create ad texts as relevant and appealing as possible. I’ll keep my fingers crossed hoping they will return the expected results.

I must start my weekly updat
e by wishing a massive HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Neil Birchall, our brilliant Client Services Director. It is his birthday today and we hope he is having a great time.
I cannot believe it is Friday already. It’s time for an update on my progress at Banc Media. This week, I have broadened my knowledge of SEO, PPC, Sales Force and monthly reporting.
Throughout this learning process, there was something that really frustrated me. Through our New Business department, we came across companies who were receiving poor results from their current PPC or SEO campaign providers and yet were reluctant to change. The key for a successful business I think is the power to change strategies or partners when things are not going well.
This leads us to the message that Andy, our Sales Manager is trying to send across to different companies in the North West: if you are not 100% satisfied with your current PPC or SEO provider, then why not change it for a better one? And who else better than Banc Media who can increase your company’s ROI by an unbelievable 745% as Confetti.co.uk our client received last month!
