Week 8 already. I cannot believe time has passed by so quickly! It seems like yesterday I was enjoying my 1 month anniversary at Banc Media.
A quick run through of my week: PPC, SEO, finance and MGIP.
As in every other week, we had to send our weekly PPC reports. As usual, the numbers looked amazing. But what matters the most is what’s behind the numbers: the activities that drove those results and ideas to improve them further. Kaplan Finance performed extraordinarily well last week, with purchases going up by 30%, while CPS considerably decreased. All in all, it was a very successful campaign.
Two new clients joined us this week, Liverpool Science Park and Lufthansa. We would like to welcome them and we’re really looking forward to starting work on their campaigns and delivering excellent results.
On the SEO side, we looked into the Cruise 1st user journey and suggested ways of improving it. At the moment I’m thoroughly checking their website to make sure everything is up to scratch and everything is going well. I’m really happy with the results, and I would love to reward myself with one of their Caribbean cruises, but then there would be no one to write next week’s blog.
This week I had my first meeting with the other interns who are part of the Manchester Graduate Internship Programme. I really enjoyed meeting my fellow graduates, all of whom are in similar jobs to mine, however I think my job is the best of the lot. It’s the perfect job since it gives me an insight into the whole business operation. I found it very useful comparing my experience with the other interns, and I came away with loads of ideas of how to help Banc Media to successfully develop as a business.
All in all, a very successful week at Banc Media, a week where I’ve learnt more about the business and the SEM world. Every day is a new learning curve at Banc and the only thing I can say is bring it on, because I’m enjoy it more and more with each passing week.
